The yearly event kicks off with a Friday night Garden Tour Gala on June 29 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in a private home on the cliffs of Little River. Get your much-anticipated tickets soon — space for the Gala is limited to 50 attendees.

Begin your Saturday at 9 a.m. at the Mendocino Art Center’s Garden Shop for handcrafted garden art and accessories, blossoming plants, and more. The Garden Tour starts at 10 with behind-the-scenes, self-guided tours of private gardens stretching from Fort Bragg to Albion. Choose your own path and discover locations filled with beautiful plant life and unique art, with some locations offering open studios and live demonstrations. Gardens for this year’s special tour include the Village Garden, Gazebo Garden, Dragon Rox, the Glass Art Garden, the Bridge House Garden, and the Digging Dog Nursery.

When your stomach grumbles for lunch, be sure to visit the renowned Ravens Restaurant, located at the Stanford Inn by the Sea, which plans to host a gourmet three-course benefit lunch from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. The premier organic restaurant is nationally acclaimed for its delectable vegetarian cuisine and is a favorite among locals and visitors.

Tickets for the Garden Tour are $40, while lunch costs $20 and the opening night Gala costs $50. This unique event will take place rain or shine and proceeds benefit the Mendocino Art Center’s quest for bringing “exhibitions, classes, and studio spaces to teachers, students, and art lovers.”
