Join Us for the Grand Opening of the New Fort Bragg Coastal Trail!

The view just got a little better here in Fort Bragg, CA!

Those who have visited the area in the past know that other than a few access points, such as Glass Beach or the Noyo Harbor beach, getting a good look at the gorgeous Pacific Ocean could sometimes be a challenge.  Soon enough though, the barriers that once lined the Georgia-Pacific Mill site will be gone, giving us all an opportunity to enjoy the coastline up close and personal!

On June 4, 2016, the new Fort Bragg Coastal Trail will have its official grand opening, according to the Fort Bragg Promotion Committee.

Fort Bragg California Coast

Taking in gorgeous views of the Pacific Ocean will be a lot easier as visitors will have access to a half-mile long trail on 10 acres of land near the Georgia-Pacific Mill site. The new trail is expected to attract visitors from all across California who will be able to bask in breathtaking views and enjoy physical activities such as walking, biking and skating. Pets on a leash are welcome, too! Guests will also have easy stairway access to the beach at Fort Bragg Landing.

The best part is everyone can access the Pacific Coast from downtown Fort Bragg – it’s as easy as that.

Once the second phase is completed and the full trail is officially open to the public, visitors and local residents will be able to hike or bike the entire length of the Fort Bragg Coastal Trail. Horseback riding will also be available, allowing visitors to ride into MacKerricher State Park or onto the beach, all while enjoying the great outdoors.

From the scenery to the hand-crafted benches made by local artists and woodworkers, organizers have included something for everyone to enjoy at every corner. The Fort Bragg Coastal Trail has come a long way in allowing the public to enjoy lands that haven’t been accessible for more than a century, and we look forward to the completion of this trail that has opened the doors to such a beautiful part of California.

So what will you be doing June 4th? We hope to see you at the grand opening! Book a stay today at Cleone Gardens Inn and make the grand opening a grand weekend for you and your family.
