The Fort Bragg Oddities Walking Tour, created by local, Ron Bloomquist, is a fun self-guided tour to all the “odd things” located in the Fort Bragg area that would otherwise go unnoticed if it were not for Ron Bloomquist’s unusual natural inquisitiveness. You will find things along the way like a misspelled bronze plaque, a bar and church that date back before the 1906 earthquake and hitching rings. You can start the tour anywhere, but the best place to start is the Guest House Museum at Main Street, between Redwood Avenue and Laurel Street. One of the best ways to shop and be kind to the environment at the same time is to go thrift shopping. Buying and re-purposing used clothing items is a positive and popular trend these days. The Paul Bunyun Thrift Shop and the Mendocino Coast Hospital Hospice Thrift Shop are two ways to enjoy thrifting in the Fort Bragg area.
